I’m sitting on the plane on my return from a packed 48-hour trip down to Fort Lauderdale and Miami to visit our dealerships. First, I want to thank all of the guys at the Peterson Harley-Davidson dealerships in Miami and the Bruce Rossmeyer Dealerships in Fort Lauderdale and Sunrise.
Here’s the thing guys, I love traveling and meeting all of the wonderful people that help make Rinehart Racing what it is today. Make no mistake about it, and I’m not gonna deny it, we went through a tough time transitioning from sales and marketing through our previous distributor and now going dealer direct – if you work at a dealership, you’ve heard the rumors and you probably felt some of our “growing pains” during the transition process, but that’s what I love about it – you guys stuck with us. And I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention all of the riders and enthusiasts out there – you guys believed in us and you stuck with us – that’s why there’s so much meaning when I always talk about being a member of the Rinehart family – people that stick with you through tough times are more than just friends, aquaintenances, or enthusiasts – they’re FAMILY.
Bob Markland at Peterson’s Harley-Davidson of Miami – you’re the greatest – you and Eddie and the entire team were so welcoming and inviting to me. Ace and Mr. Peterson, thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to talk with a young guy like me – you guys are true heroes and icons in the industry. Thank you for sticking with us through our transition – you’re loyalty is a great and unique virtue that is recognized and most appreciated.
Sean & Pete at Rossmeyer’s Fort Lauderdale Harley Davidson – thank you guys for sitting down with me, and caring enough to be candid in your thoughts, expressing what you’ve heard, but most importantly, sticking with us. Really, thanks for the purchase order!!!
That’s just it guys, when I come to see you, or when you get a call from one of the guys from our team, WE WANT you to be candid and honest in what you’ve heard, what you’ve experienced and what you expect. As the CEO of Rinehart Racing, I’m committed to this: that my phone, my office, my email is always open and on to hear what you have to say, what you’re thinking, and how you think we can improve. Hear’s the deal, I don’t care how great of a product you have, how well it performs, how unique it is; if your dealerships aren’t pushing it, and your consumers aren’t talking about it, then it really doesn’t matter how great it is. YOU are the reason we are what we are, we make what we make, and we succeed like we do, even when the cards are stacked against us. TO QUELL all of the rumors, we make our product, we make our product in the USA, and we are definitely in business. Gerald Rinehart is alive and well and still running the business, and he still has lots of little tricks up his sleeve that are gonna blow your mind. Rest assured, we are alive and well – I guarantee it.
So after a long read and a lot of typing (my plane is now landing), here’s what it boils down to: if you’re a dealer out there and have a special day coming up, and you’d like to have a visit from me or Gerald, give us a call. We love to travel, and we enjoy meeting people all across this great country that support our company and ride our pipes.
