Wow, what a start to 2010
Wow, what a start to 2010 here at Rinehart Racing. As many of you know, the demand for the 2009-2010 FL True Duals was out there waiting on us long before we sent out the first boxed set back in December. The response we’ve experienced over the past 4 months has been mind blowing to say the least. Occasionally, I get a phone call describing our new FL true dual design as “radical” and my response is simply this, we’ve always been radical. Our company from its inception has been a intrepid leader in the motorcycle industry – a harbinger paving the way for new ideas and innovation. Exemplifying this is our innovative use of anti-reversion louvers in our headers. Once again, Rinehart Racing leads the industry with new technology never implemented in the motorcycle industry.
Our recent trip to Daytona Bike Week marked the first time Rinehart Racing has had an independent presence at a major bike event and our first time selling product and doing installs. I must admit, due to our trailer’s location and our recent re-entry back onto the scene, I was concerned that we would have at the very best, a mediocre week. Our plan was to run 2 lifts like most of the other exhaust manufacturers and we projected that we would be fortunate if we sold 25 sets of exhaust. Well, thank God, we underestimated ourselves. By the third day, we had added two more lifts, courtesy of the fabulous Rossmeyer HD team, led by Greg Daniel, and by the middle of the event, we were doing 5 installs at a time with bikes stacked in line. At the end of the week, we set a new record for exhaust installs at Daytona Bike Week – selling and installing over 100 exhaust systems!
I cannot offer enough words of appreciation to the guys at Rossmeyer – Greg, Tim, Lucky, Zink, Scott, Dale, the list goes on – thank you so much for your help, your support, your willingness to drop what you were doing to help us, the promotion of our product – you guys are greater than the greatest! If you’re ever in Florida within a 100 miles of Daytona Beach – it’s worth your time to visit Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Harley Davidson – it’s a Mecca for bikes, I promise you won’t be disappointed!
So here’s the great thing – there’s more to come! We’ve got new and improved crossbacks which will be out in a couple of weeks – and yes, what everyone’s been waiting on – the FL 2-into-1 exhaust system will be here in three weeks and counting. The guys in manufacturing are working around the clock to get these systems out. Our classic and sleek 2-into-2 is also just around the corner. But the greatest thing of all – Gerald’s back in the shop, working, bending, welding the next “radical” design and I promise – it’s gonna blow you and the industry out of the water!
