Customer FAQs

What is covered under the Rinehart Warranty and how do I file a warranty claim?
The Rinehart Racing Limited Lifetime warranty covers all products produced by Rinehart Racing against any defects or failures in craftsmanship or materials for the life of the product, or 2 years from date of purchase, in the case of black coatings. The warranty does not extend to “Rinehart by Bub” products, produced by Bub Enterprises To determine if your product is covered under warranty, please contact us directly.

Can I purchase directly from Rinehart Racing?
You can purchase directly from us through our website, our customer service line, or at one of the major bike rallies, however, we encourage you to visit your local dealer, who may have Rinehart products in stock. To find an authorized Rinehart Racing dealer in your area, use our dealer locator.

Do I need to tune my motorcycle after adding your pipes?
Our Touring slip-ons do not require, nor do we recommend, tuning when used with the stock headers. Our Softail, Dyna, Sportster, and Indian Scout slip-ons do not require tuning, but it is recommended for maximum performance gains. All of our full systems require tuning upon installation, and upgrading the air cleaner is also recommended. We do not manufacture a tuner, nor do we have any specific recommendations, but our systems are compatible with all major tuners on the market.

Can I remove or change the baffles in my mufflers?
Our Touring mufflers up to 2016, come with our standard 2.25” baffles, and we offer both a louder High Flow option (p/n 100-0111) as well as a Quiet baffle option (p/n 100-0110). These are a direct swap out with the standard baffles and will significantly affect the sound of the mufflers, but will not have a significant impact on performance and do not require additional tuning. Our Touring mufflers for 2017-Later models come with our Loudest High Flow baffles already installed,
and we do not offer any optional baffles for these mufflers. For all other mufflers and systems, the baffles are not removable.

Are replacement parts available for my Rinehart pipes?
Yes, we do offer replacement heat shields, pipes, clamps, and more for all of our current systems. Please contact our customer service line, or your local dealer, for further assistance.

Are Slip-on mufflers compatible with True Dual systems?
Our Slip-on mufflers have a diameter that mirrors the stock diameters, so they will mate up to your bike’s stock head pipes. Our True Dual systems are “Stepped Headers” which get progressively larger as they move away from the motor, and require a specific muffler with the appropriately sized inlet. Because of this, our True Dual headers will not work with our Slip-on mufflers. Our Slimline Dual (for 2009-Later HD Touring models) has the same diameter as the stock head pipes,
and will mate up perfectly to existing slip-on mufflers, to make a full system.

Can I purchase your products internationally?
We have distributors and dealers all over the globe. Contact our customer service department to locate a Rinehart Racing dealer in your country.
